In 2007, Brisa and CCR signed the concession contract for the Northwest Parkway highway, in the United States, for 99 years. CCR has a 10% share in the consortium, and Brisa has 90%.
The Northwest Parkway has approximately 18 kilometers, 14 of which have been in operation since November 2003, and four kilometers are to be built by 2020, to join the by-pass around Denver, Colorado.
The highway is part of a by-pass in metropolitan Denver, which has 2.5 million inhabitants. The region has an extensive highway network that connects with neighboring States and with the airport, which is one of the ten busiest in the United States. The average daily traffic flow on the Northwest Parkway is 12,800 vehicles.
