The Anhangüera-Bandeirantes System, administrated by AutoBAn, consists of the Anhangüera (SP-330), Bandeirantes (SP-348), and Dom Gabriel Paulino Bueno Couto (SP-300) highways, and the Adalberto Panzan (SPI-02/330) connector, for a total of 316.75 kilometers.
With an average traffic flow of 370,000 trips per day, the system plays a fundamental role in the transportation of agricultural and industrial products, because it connects the capital city to the Campinas region, which is one of the Nations wealthiest economic hubs.
Since the beginning of the concession of the Anhangüera-Bandeirantes System, the physical and operational situation of the highways has changed, thanks to the investments made by AutoBAn. The concessionaire has already invested over R$ 2.2 billion in new constructions and improvements, expansion, modernization of the operating system, infrastructure, conservation, inspection, advanced monitoring systems of the highways, and social action.
For the greater safety of travelers, the Anhangüera-Bandeirantes System provides free 24-hour SOS Usuário (SOS User) service with ambulances, mechanical assistance, tow trucks, water tankers, wrecker, and traffic inspection vehicles. Since the beginning of the operations, AutoBAn has answered 1.7 million assistance calls. Today, the average is 757 assistance calls per day. Furthermore, over 1,300 medical calls have been handled. All of this work earned the concessionaire the Highway Safety (Vida de Segurança nas Rodovias) award, twice, which is given by ARTESP (Transportation Agency of the State of São Paulo).
